MINIMUM CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR REGISTRATION

i. Registered Business
ii. Minimum operating capital
iii. Access to a warehouse facility
iv. Access to transportation and logistical services
v. Linkages with mechanization service providers

ROLE OF THE AGGREGATOR IN THE PROGRAM

Under the program, The Aggregator:
i. Will be assigned registered farmers under the programme within a specified district (Zone)
ii. Will coordinate agro inputs access and delivery to farmers and be responsible for produce recovery for ALL the selected commodity value chains in the programme at the district.
iii. Will engage the services of Agriculture Extension Agents (AEAs, Agriculture Mechanisation Service Centres (AMSECs), transporters and other ancillary service providers to support farmers.
iv. Shall recover in-kind (produce) from the farmer (at the end of the cropping cycle) to the value of the comprehensive inputs advanced.
v. Will deposit recovered produce at a designated warehouse for a ready off-taker market.
i. Will negotiate to buy (in a first-right-of-refusal arrangement) the farmer’s portion of produce after recovery is done.
ii. All the above services will be offered to the farmer at relatively NO direct cost from aggregator to farmer.

WHAT THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE TO THE AGGREGATOR

iii. The program will facilitate access to inputs to the aggregator for onward distribution to and utility by registered farmers.
iv. Aggregator shall have a whole operational zone for him/herself during the programme.
v. All the above services will be offered to the farmer at relatively NO direct cost from aggregator to farmer.
vi. The Aggregator will be paid an encompassing negotiated commission to adequately cover for his services to the farmer.
vii. The program will contract the Aggregator for these services in a contractual arrangement.

COMPELLING BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM TO THE AGGREGATOR

i. The aggregator will be paid an encompassing commission for services rendered.
ii. Aggregator shall be paid at the end of the cropping cycle.
